Victory in the 2026 Midterms depends on continuously promoting the stark differences between the Democratic vision of a better future for all Americans from the dystopian and dysfunctional chaos we are now living in. We seek freedom from the oft-brutal chaos and an end to the major cost of living increases that are bankrupting families and seniors. We have just begun.

Texas State District 9 elected a Democrat in a special election to fill a Senate seat in January 2026. This is in North Texas, one of the most deep red areas in the USA. By 14 Points! Trump won this same district by 17 points. That is a swing of 31 points. This is a continuation of a trend of doing better than Kamala did by an average of +12 all over America.
MAGA is out of step with America on Healthcare-Tariff Taxes-Inflation, not to mention the narcissistic stunts with the East Wing and the Kennedy Center. Then there is the unnecessary brutal chaos perpetrated by ICE.
This is showing up in elections. June 2026: Trump’s endorsement is no longer untouchable. While his preferred candidates won most of Tuesday’s major contests, Trump’s pick for the Georgia governorship (Jones) lost, though his pick for Senate (Collins) won. The loss of Jones ensured the night was not a clean sweep.
In November 2025 races:
- Abigail Spanberger and Mikie Sherrill won governor elections by double digits.
- Two Georgia Democrats flipped seats on the state’s Public Service Commission.
- Democrats broke the Republican supermajority in the Mississippi State Senate seats.
The switches are fueled by independents and motivated Democrats who don’t necessarily turn out in every election. Independent voters top concern is consistent over time and across demographics–Affordability.
