Voter Resources & Registration

Voter Registration

Voting for responsible candidates is how we can effect change in the Federal government policies.

New legal policies enacted by our Federal or State government may remove or impede some options for voting in some States. Examples include:

  • changes in the vote-by-mail rules
  • a reduction in the number of polling places
  • new requirements to register to vote — such as the proposed need for a birth certificate, something that can be particularly challenging for a married woman with a surname different from her birth surname.

Plan ahead and prepare to assure your vote — and the votes of our supporters — will be counted. Well before polling day, check to see what the latest “challenges to voting” may be and prepare.
