Attached: latest Vermont Indivisible Digest. We are calling for members who would like to participate in the GOOD TROUBLE LIVES ON program this Friday, July 17th, 4PM.
As the featured part of the event, we will have some of our members offer short readings on THE RIGHT TO VOTE. Just as we did for the Make Good Trouble event last year, when members spoke about the Civil Rights icon, John Lewis, we will again have members offer thoughts, inspiration, stories, and history about The Right To Vote. For me, it was one of the most impactful and inspiring events we have had.
Your offering can be as simple as a quote from someone who was part of the struggle to gain the right to vote and end voter suppression. Or it can be a short poem. Or, do you know a story about someone, somewhere, who is being denied the right to vote? Do you know when women were finally guaranteed the right to vote? Are you concerned about threats to the right to vote in our Midterms? Is there a particular Amendment which grants voting rights, that is especially meaningful to you?
Whatever your thoughts on The Right To Vote, your fellow Indivisibles would like to hear them.

The Right To Vote. It is the most powerful way that The People control and shape the government that runs our country. Every eligible voter should have easy access to casting their ballot. We know right now that this Administration, and the GOP in some states, are actively working to suppress the vote – that means that they are trying to make it hard or impossible for certain voters to exercise their right to vote. We need to make sure that everyone in this country understands and is aware of what they are doing.
We will start by standing up and speaking out on July 17th, as part of the nationwide “Good Trouble Lives On” weekend.
