9/26/26. Ballots arrive. Good news.

Hello Indivisibles: 2 updated newsletters and SOME GOOD NEWS. My ballot was in the mail yesterday!!  Seems like a good weekend to vote!

The Clarity Act (crypto regulation that would secure Trump’s ability to continue to profit from his conflict of interest in the crypto industry) failed in the Senate, 49-50.

Trump’s attempt to use the USPS to prevent millions of Americans from voting in the Midterms was stopped by the Supreme Court.

SCOTUS also struck down the GOP redistricting map in Missouri – for the third, and final time.

There seems to be a creaking, crumbling sound in the GOP fortress this week.  Some candidates seem to think it might be time to get out while they can?

  – Pennsylvania, in the past year, has added over 35,000 Registered Democrates but only added 3,500 Registered Republicans (10:1 advantage for Democrats).  Current totals: Dems: 42.6%, GOP 41.1%, Indp 14.8%.  But who will actually come out to vote?  The enthusiasm seems to be with Dems, right now.

 – In FL, a Republican Candidate for a US House seat (Salazar), put out a campaign ad criticizing Trump’s Immigration crack down.

 – Another Republican in FL, running for Governor (Donalds), scrubbed almost all references to and pictures of, Trump from his campaign website.  (He is a long time Trump supporter).

 – Republicans are worried about losing statewide races in solidly red places like Kansas (Kansas?  Really?) and Texas and a few more.  We live in interesting times.

 37 DAYS TILL THE MIDTERMS!

Where do you bump into people?  At church?  Walking the dog?  At work?  At the store?  In your book club?  At Two Heroes?  When you see them, ask them “Are you going to vote?”  If they say “Yes”, encourage them to vote early!  If they say, “No”, see if they would change their mind if you go with them, and offer to buy them a cup of coffee after.  You will help drive a bigger vote at the midterms and get to have a nice visit, too.

 “Watson, the game’s afoot!”
