6/13/26. Reminders: Election Protection; Balint video; July 4 parades; Midterm actions; Postcard Warriors; Trump birthday present; Honk&Wave.

Hello Indivisibles,

Please remember:

Tomorrow, Sunday, June 14 from 2:00 to 4:00 at the North Hero Community Hall.  ELECTION PROTECTION with VT Sec of State, Sarah Copeland Hanzas.  Plus a video message just for us from US Rep Becca Balint.  Got questions about the Midterm elections?  Get them answered tomorrow.  PLUS:  Sign up for 4th of July Parades, the Midterms Team, Postcard Warriors, Book Club and more.

Tomorrow is also FLAG DAY and the one year anniversary of the first NO KINGS rally.  You can celebrate by enjoying the “Rise Up and Sing Out” concert live streamed at 7:30 pm.  Get together with some friends and watch this Pro-Democracy Celebration!  See the line up and find out how to watch at https://riseupsingout.com/

Tomorrow is also Trump’s birthday and he is defacing the White House and the Lincoln Memorial to stage a brutal UFC fight for his enjoyment and enrichment.  Yes, his trust bought $50,000 of UFC stock just before he announced the event, he is holding a $1 Million dollar a plate dinner to benefit his Super Pac the night before the event, he is selling merch (“Medallians” for gobs of money) and he has authorized the State Dept. to promote the UFC around the world. Isn’t it wonderful that UCF fighters will parade through out the Lincoln Memorial on their way to brutalize each other?

But you have probably been wondering what to give Trump for his birthday?  The Women’s March has a suggestion:  brightly colored porta potties in DC featuring Trump.  Check them out and help purchase if you want:  https://womensmarch.controlshift.app/events/dump-on-trump

Finally, a message from our FRIDAY DEFEND DEMOCRACY warriors who braved excessive heat and some rain this week:  Plan on joining them next week – Friday 4:00 to 5:00 near the Worthen Library in South Hero!Friday Honk and Wave: June 12 th.

Friday Honk and Wave: June 12th: A dedicated group of 12 Indivisible Champlain Islanders braved the passing showers while waving signs protesting Trump’s regime and the cruel actions of I.C.E. Several clouds passed over with accompanying showers but we smiled, we chatted and listened to great music. A dark cloud with accompanying thunder sent us scurrying to take cover in our cars. As Islanders we knew the storms would last a bit longer than we wished. Heading home, John and I felt inspired by the turnout of our Friday friends.
–Thank you to all, Berney

I’m looking forward to seeing you tomorrow (Sunday) at the North Hero Community Hall.Doors open at 1:30. Program starts at 2:00.

Cheers,

Marilyn Lagrow
