ICE OUT FRIDAY, MAY 8 AT NOON: TAYLOR PARK IN ST. ALBANS
This is a Statewide Call to Action that has been months in the planning. All are called to join the peaceful demonstration in Taylor Park from noon to 2:00. Music, Speakers, Bread & Puppet Theater.
At 2:00 there will be a separate action: A SIT-IN at the CBP office – NOTE: you must have already attended the training for the SIT-IN in order to participate in this part, as this may include confrontation with law-enforcement. All actions are required to be non-violent. See flyer attached.
DEFEND DEMOCRACY DEMONSTRATION – FRIDAY MAY 8 FROM 4:00 TO 5:00 IN SOUTH HERO ON THE SIDEWALK BETWEEN THE WORTHEN LIBRARY AND TWO HEROES.
Join us for our Every-Friday Honk & Wave to spread the message that We The People will resist the tyranny of this Administration. We will be loud, we will show up, and we will keep coming back, until The People take back the power that this Administration is trying to strip away. Bring signs, noisemakers, flags AND A FRIEND. We have extra signs if you need one.
FOOD DRIVE FOR CHAMPLAIN ISLANDS FOOD SHELF – SATURDAY 11:00 TO 1:00 AT ST. JOSEPH’S CHURCH, RT 2, GRAND ISLE:
Please bring donations for the Food Drive on Saturday!!!! The need is growing faster than they can keep up with, so help us help them support our community members in need. The financial strain on families, older folks, disabled, and working people is growing out of control since this Administration took over. Tariffs, health care costs, inflation, higher prices for groceries and everyday goods, child care, housing costs, have all shot up in the past year. And now the war has spiked gas prices, which are just causing prices of everything else to go even higher.
Bring goods, non-perishable food, or cash/check to the Food Drive. See flyer attached.
And please spread the word – encourage your neighbors, co-workers, and friends to donate, too. It is a great opportunity to give them a call and have a nice chat and let them know about all the work that Indivisible Champlain Islands is doing. Maybe they will want to join us, too.
