Training for Poll Observers,6:30
Attend virtual training either Thursday Sept 3 or Wednesday Sept 9, 6:30 – 8:30 pm.
In preparation for the possibility that federal agents will be present near or at polls in November, the League of Women Voters of Vermont is searching for volunteers to serve as poll observers and coordinators across the state, including the polls in the five towns in the Champlain Islands. Poll observers will be donating 2-4 hours outside a polling site, in parking lots and near entrances for voting. Coordinators will schedule observers in their communities and coordinate safety measures. There are no specific qualifications for either position, but you should be comfortable with texting.
