NO KINGS 4: RALLY AND VOTE FEST SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17: 2:30 pm- 4:30 pm at the WORTHEN LIBRARY IN SOUTH HERO !!!!
That’s this Saturday, folks! Join with millions of people across the country to ensure that we never have to submit to the tyranny of a king! Encourage everyone to VOTE for a Congress that will put a check on the power of the President.
The Rally outside starts at 2:30 and continues through the afternoon.
The indoor VoteFest in the lower level of the Worthen Library opens at 3:00 pm.
Come check out the VoteFest whenever you get cold at the Rally. It continues until 4:30. Test your knowledge at the VOTE TRIVIA BOARD. Ask our LOCAL TOWN CLERKS all your voting questions (ie, how do you “cure” a ballot? Who decides who is on the voter checklist? When are mail-in ballots counted? ETC.). Register to vote. Check to see if you are on the Checklist. Sign up to be an Election Poll Observer. Enjoy cider and cider doughnuts. And MORE!
It’s not too late to sign up to be an Election Poll Observer. Two hour shifts outside the polls during voting hours to report and document any disruptions at the polls. Will there be any attempt to disrupt or stop the voting? Or seize ballots? We do not expect there will be any. But we do intend to be ready to sound the alarm and capture it on video, in the event that something does happen. Email Andrea at to sign up and get instructions.
Now for some GOOD NEWS for a change. There actually is plenty of it, as we watch this old man President spiral down. Sent to me by one of our members, this column — Chop Wood-Carry Water — is always a favorite. Check it out.
Now, GO VOTE! if you haven’t already. Do your homework, fill out your ballot, and take it to your Town Clerk’s office. Hand it in to the Clerk, or put it in the secure drop box. And ask your friends if they have voted yet. In fact, ask everyone you see! Then tell yourself, “Well done!”
Cheers,
Marilyn Lagrow
