Hello Indivisibles: Well, this is it. The last 4 days before the Election. Are you ready to dock this ship in the largest blue tsunami in 20 years? We can, if we do the work in the final push this weekend. Start with THE LAST FRIDAY DEFEND DEMOCRACY PROTEST before the election!! Come out in force tomorrow, Friday, Oct. 29, at 4:00 pm near the Worthen Library in South Hero. See the picture of the sea of signs from last week’s protest. We have lots of signs you can use.
Then choose your phone banking time for this weekend. You can find options in last week’s newsletter, or on our website (IndivisibleCI.org) or at the national site, Indivisible.org.
Then decide to call a friend, or relative, who may have voted for Trump and can’t understand why you are so angry about him. They may be having second thoughts right now. Certainly, a lot of Trump voters are. Let them know how YOU feel. Don’t tell them how they should feel. That is up to them. But they should want to know why you feel so differently. I read a post today that was incredibly eloquent and heartfelt on this. I have attached it below. Maybe you can use it as a guide, or borrow, or rewrite part of it, to send to someone you know. Or post it on your social media. It is time for us all to start talking to each other again, without accusing each other.
Let’s do this! We can fix this, and this is where it starts.
