NO MORE MONEY FOR ICE/CBP
So far, the US Senate is holding firm in not giving any additional funds to ICE/CBP until significant changes are made to their rules for enforcement. But the pressure is growing to bring this standoff to a conclusion. TSA agents are not being paid until this funding bill passes. Airport disruptions are growing. Meanwhile, ICE/CBP still has tons of money and those agents ARE being paid. FEMA is operating on reserve funds.
Democrats in the Senate have offered 5 times to fund everything in DHS (TSA, FEMA, etc), EXCEPT ICE/CBP, but the Republican led Senate has refused to vote on it. Your MOC in the Senate needs to know that you are backing their demands that ICE/CBP be reformed, so that they operate the same as other law enforcement in this country. Please, please call them again and let them know that you still support this demand. NO more money for ICE/CBP without reforms.
Remember, the Big Bad Bill already gave border/immigration enforcement more money than most countries have for their entire militaries. So much, that they could give $50,000 sign-on bonuses to new agents, spend $220,000,000 ($220 Million !!) for an single ad campaign featuring Kristi Noem, buy two new jets for $200,000,000 ($200 Million), and another luxury jet for $70,000,000 ($70 million) for DHS executives, and spend Billions of dollars to detain immigrants (with and without legal authority to be in the US) in deplorable conditions, instead of letting them remain in their communities and work to support their families, and pay taxes. And this is just the tip of the ICEberg of waste and fraud and abuse.
Why on earth would we give more of our taxpayer dollars to this??

We have been asked to have another 2-3 people from our group volunteer at the St. Albans end of the NO KINGS III rally on March 28. They still need people to help with clean-up and be Marshals at the event. We have not many volunteers for this event yet, so if you could help, please let me know. You can reply to this email.
