Hello Indivisibles,
A big WELCOME BACK to all of our summer members! It has been a long, difficult winter and we have missed you. Many of you have already returned and more will arrive this weekend. A lot is going on and there are plenty of places for you to get involved.
Every FRIDAY AT 4:00 WE HAVE A “DEFEND DEMOCRACY” HONK AND WAVE IN SOUTH HERO ON THE SIDEWALK BETWEEN THE WORTHEN LIBRARY AND TWO HEROES TAPROOM. Please add it to your calendar and plan on joining us. Bring a sign or a flag or use one of ours. And bring a friend!! Please do not park in the spaces reserved for the Health Center or at Two Heroes.
We have several Teams now and some new ones being organized. If you would like to join any of them, let us know by replying to this email. We need plenty of help!
– Events Team (create and implement major events for our group)
– Protect the Vote (design and run our campaign to insure a free and fair midterm election)
– Postcard Team (contacting voters in key races in other states)
– Book Club (discuss books pertinent to our current political situation)
– Fourth of July Parade – Alburgh Parade (plan and/or participate in our Parade entry)
– Fourth of July Parade – South Hero Parade (plan and/or participate in our Parade entry)
– Sign Making Team (help design and/or paint signs for various ICI events)
Lastly, I apologize that I was not available for a few days to send out the most recent Vermont Indivisible Newsletter. It is attached below. Sorry for being tardy.
Remember, our next big event is JUNE 14th from 2::00 to 4:00 at the North Hero Community Hall with guest speaker, Vermont Secretary of State, Sarah Copeland Hanzas, discussing election integrity.
See you soon!
Marilyn Lagrow
