Hello Indivisibles: Please see latest Indivisible Champlain Islands Newsletter below. There is a lot going on, so don’t delay reading it. The next nationwide NO KINGS: VOTE EARLY event is on Saturday October 17th!!! We will be joining with thousands of other Indivisible Groups and millions of Americans to demand an end to the disastrous total control of the Trump Administration. We don’t have details for you yet for our No Kings event (our first choice of venue is not available, so we are searching for a new spot) but we will let you know soon!!
In the meantime, we are working full throttle on getting out the vote for the Midterms so we can flip the House and Senate. Control of Congress has to be taken away from the GOP, since they have proven that they will simply not exert their Constitutional duty to put checks on the Executive branch and Donald Trump.
PLEASE JOIN IN THE EFFORT.
– Step up to do canvassing in NY-21 to turn Elise Stefanik’s seat blue. There is a group from VT that you can join. Bring a friend. They will show you exactly what to do.
– Join phone banking efforts from your own home through Indivisible National or Lean Left. IT REALLY MATTERS. They have training for newbies.
– Contact Doug to add your efforts to the postcard group.
– Call your friends and relatives out-of-state to make sure they are going to vote, and explain why it is so important.
– Sign up to be a Poll Observer on Nov. 3 to document and sound the alarm if there are any attempts to interfere with our elections here in Vermont.
– Watch for our “Did You Know” ads in the Islander and FPF and make sure your neighbors see them.
– Join Leadership to help organize all of this work.

And be sure to come out and join us at the Friday Defend Democracy protest in South Hero,tomorrow, Friday, from 4:00 to 5:00. Remind people to VOTE, demand change, let everyone know that we will not let this regime continue unchecked. And we will NOT GO AWAY!
We have signs you can use. And we can talk to you more about how to join in the struggle.
Now is the time for us to all step up and come together to fix this absurd mess.
