WE ARE NOT ALONE: I was struck this morning, while checking the news, by just how many groups have formed and organized so many Americans to stand up to the abuses of this regime. To stand up and demand an end to the terror, and destruction, and hardships being imposed. It seems that everywhere you look, every day of the week, someone is protesting and demanding change. This is not normal folks. This is the sign of a society-wide movement happening across the entire country. Indivisible and No Kings are just a part of it.
Here are just a couple of examples that I happened to hear about this morning:
— Power To The People Festival in DC – 19,000 tickets sold out; live-streaming on MS Now.
Wish I could go. Bruce Springsteen, DropKick Murphys, Foo Fighters, Joan Baez, Dave Matthews, and lots more!
— End Detention Centers March – A 96 Mile March in Southern California of faith-based leaders and their supporters. Ongoing right now. It started at the Adelanto Detention Center in the Mojave Desert and will end at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles. 96 miles! A week long march! To demand an end to the horribly cruel treatment of detainees in these centers. It comes just as Gov. Gavin Newsome signs into law new steps to control these centers. This gives the CA Attny General the right to inspect and report on conditions in the detention centers. And new tax of 25% on gross income of private firms operating these centers.
So. We are not alone. People all over the country are taking action against this corrupt, immoral Administration. They are acting in hundreds of different ways.
No one can do everything. But everyone can do something. It is time for EACH of us to DO something. There is no shortage of things that need to be done. Find your opportunity and take action. The first order of business is to drive an overwhelming vote to overturn this Congress. You can find lots of ways to help with this in the attached newsletters. This is our one chance. We won’t get a do-over for the Midterms. Just 30 days left until the Midterms.
